Ready to drink and Joff?

7 May , 2019

I recently came across a snippet of a song called “Cinderella” on IG.  I reached out to ppl and they told me that 5/1/19 was the day that UC Joff was dropping his “HearthrobOoch” EP. I decided to check out his old work as a primer for the new project. What I heard was the progression of an artist who tinkered with some contemporary sounds and themes, but maintained his distinct flair and sound. “HearthrobOoch” is a short and sweet EP that delivers on its hype. From the intro you are treated to melodic tunes, and the recurring theme is heartache but an open door to finding love. I’m all forrit.

In 2019, I can appreciate the heartache/heartbreak pop movement. I don’t want to fck on a bih, I wanna cuddle, and play slow jams. I want to reminisce about college and the days when I had 360 waves and minimal responsibilities. UC Joff delivers on all of that. This EP and his other projects can be played at a kickback, on the commute to work, or even on a lonely night as you try to get over the heartbreak that many are feeling as cuffing season comes to an end.

Check out “HearthrobOoch” on your favorite streaming platform.
